About Us

Thank you for visiting our website, our passion.

We spent many years in the corporate rat race and as age 40 approached we decided to make a change and work to live rather than live to work. We found new careers, sold most everything; left the desert of Las Vegas to move to Tampa, Florida – our new home base.

Living Childfree

We find fun in random things and as a couple who chose not to have children, we strive to have fun as a couple and are continually fulfilled and surprised along the way. Focusing on each other and our relationship we learn more about ourselves and find joy in the things we do together.

How we met

Living in Las Vegas we were both active members of our university fan clubs, LSU and Auburn. In 2011, we met at an SEC Happy Hour at PT’s Pub in Las Vegas and started traveling, eating & drinking right away! The rest “they” say is history.MandyScott AU stadium

Why Start a Blog?

We live to travel and are routinely asked for tips on places to visit without children, things to do and of course food & beverage. We’ve been invited to several restaurants before they have opened to the public and we were even on an episode of Diners Drive-In’s and Dives on the Food Network.

In life and in our travels, not a week goes by without someone asking, “When are you having kids?” Choosing to be a married couple without children is not the norm, but it is our life and we are happy and completely fulfilled. We want to help others feel confident in their decision or circumstances if living childfree. And, well, why not do that while traveling, eating and drinking our way around the world.

I miss you guys at Steiner’s. But, this has been a most enjoyable site/ blog to follow. We are empty nesters (Sam graduated and is staying in Auburn), and, I cannot express enough how much fun we are having. Alone. Just the 2 of us!!! Lake Tahoe this month. Sept. is still undecided. Keep up the great work and incredible photos. Love the blocks. War Eagle!

Thanks for the comment. Yes, this site is for anyone with No Kids Around. Empty nesters, no kids, or if you just want to take a night out or weekend away from the kids. Lake Tahoe sounds fun! A lot of fun things to do and great places to eat. Can’t wait to see where you will go September. Miss you both too and have fun with #NoKidsAround ! THANK YOU for the follow, we appreciate the support.

Scott! Long time no talk to! Looks like life is good. I’m so glad to see that! I’ve been perusing your blog this morning and I LOVE it! (very well written btw!) Paul and I have been struggling with infertility for 4 years now and it’s becoming a real possibility that we may be “childless” even if not by choice. It’s something I’d never considered for my life but I’ve had to open my eyes to the positives of it so that I’m not just a puddle on the floor every day. Your views are helpful in my journey to do that, so thank you! Enjoy your adventures (I believe you’re in Italy right now- so jealous!).
